Service Corporation International Supports Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business With $50,000 Expansion Project
Internationally Recognized Business School Will Expand With New Building, Renovation Project

HOUSTON, Nov. 18, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Service Corporation International (NYSE:SCI), North America’s largest provider of funeral and cemetery services, announced today its continued support of the New Orleans community with a $50,000 gift in support of the Tulane University A. B. Freeman School of Business renovation project that will include a new 42,000 sq. foot building.

Tanzberger, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of SCI and active member of the Business Council of New Orleans. “This notable expansion will enhance the teaching, research and public service mission at this internationally recognized school.”

Through its Dignity Memorial® brand, SCI’s ongoing community support is part of a company-wide focus that includes New Orleans with nearly $300,000 in local charitable giving as well as a two-year, $7 million new capital improvement project for several historic cemeteries including Mount Olivet Cemetery, Metairie Cemetery as well as Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home. Enhancements include renovations to existing structures, a new mausoleum and new cremation garden scheduled to be completed in 2016.
